John joined The Virtus Group in 2021 after a 33 year career in Law Enforcement as a local police officer and retired Detective Major with the Rhode Island State Police. He is a 1987 graduate from Providence College with a Bachelor of Arts in English literature, a 1990 graduate from Roger Williams University with an associate degree in administration of justice. Before retiring from the Rhode Island State Police, John was the officer in charge of the Computer Crimes Task Force and the Rhode Island Joint Cyber Task Force, the RI State Police Fusion Center and later he was promoted to the Rhode Island State Police Detective Division Commander. He currently lives with his wife Sandra in Port St. Lucie Florida. John and Sandra are the proud parents of two adult children, Emma and William.
