Melody Thomson joined The Virtus Group in October 2020 and plays an integral role in the firm’s operations by supporting client services, account administration, and compliance functions in close partnership with Keith Peacock. She supports retirement and investment account processing, including 401(k), SEP IRA, SIMPLE IRA, and individual IRA accounts. She manages contributions, distributions, RMDs. annuity and insurance transactions. Melody also assists with regulatory reporting and audit preparation.
With a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education from Rhode Island College, Melody brings strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a client-focused approach to her role. Outside of the office, Melody lives with her husband, Ken. They have two adult children, Colin and Becca. She enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, and kayaking throughout Rhode Island, spending time at the beach, and following the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
