Carolyn Cruise, CPA

Carolyn Cruise joined The Virtus Group in July 2025. Carolyn attended Bentley University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance & Accounting in 2018. During her time at Bentley, she was a member of the women’s lacrosse team. Carolyn continued her education at Bentley University’s McCallum Graduate School of Business where she earned her Master of Science in Accounting in 2019.

After graduation, Carolyn began her career at Deloitte & Touche in Boston, MA, and earned her Certified Public Accountant license in the fall of 2020. She spent 5+ years with the firm, ultimately becoming a manager in its Audit and Assurance practice. During her time at Deloitte, Carolyn analyzed financial data to identify and investigate trends, audited quarterly and annual financial reports for clients to ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and other relevant accounting standards, and identified and tested internal controls to ensure they were designed and operating effectively. Carolyn also gained extensive experience managing large teams, implementing project plans to achieve engagement goals, and serving as the key point of contact for both internal and external teams.

Having worked at The Virtus Group as a summer intern in 2016, Carolyn returned in July 2025 as an aspiring advisor. She has plans to continue as a candidate for her Series 7 and Series 66 FINRA licenses (held with LPL Financial) and CFP certification.

Carolyn grew up in RI and now resides in Boston, MA. She enjoys spending her time with family and friends, and watching New England sports.
